Location and Accessibility
Located in the Kullu region of Himachal Pradesh, GHNP spans an area of over 1,100 square kilometers. It lies about 60 km from Kullu town and can be accessed via road. The nearest airport is Bhuntar, and the closest railway station is Joginder Nagar.
Rich Biodiversity
The park is a treasure trove of Himalayan flora and fauna. With over 375 species of fauna, including the elusive snow leopard, blue sheep (bharal), Himalayan brown bear, and musk deer, it is a haven for wildlife photographers and conservationists. Birdwatchers can also spot monals, Himalayan griffons, and snow cocks.

GHNP offers some of the best trekking routes in the Indian Himalayas. Popular trails include:

Best Time to Visit
The ideal time to explore GHNP is from April to June and September to November. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and the landscape bursts with vibrant flowers and clear views.
