Bhavishya Badri Temple – The Future Seat of Lord Vishnu
Nestled in the serene hills near Joshimath in Uttarakhand, the Bhavishya Badri Temple is not just another spiritual destination—it’s a temple with a prophecy. Meaning “Future Badri,” this temple is believed to be the future abode of Lord Badrinath when access to the current Badrinath Dham becomes impossible.
Where Mythology Meets Prophecy
According to ancient texts and local belief, a time will come when Nar and Narayan mountains will obstruct the path to the present Badrinath Dham. In that era, Bhavishya Badri, located in the Subhain village at about 2,744 meters, will become the new place of worship.
This divine transition is linked with the Kalki avatar of Lord Vishnu, destined to end the age of Kali Yuga.
